Job Objective:
To ensure product quality by performing precise in‑process inspections, executing destructive and non-destructive testing, supporting root cause analysis, and maintaining compliance with ISO/QMS standards while driving continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities:
1. In‑Process Quality Inspection
Perform in‑process inspections on components such as plastic molded parts, die‑cast parts, rubber parts, and aluminum extrusions as per engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Verify dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and functional characteristics of parts.
2. Testing & Validation
Conduct destructive and non-destructive tests including tensile load testing, torque testing, plating thickness checks, hardness testing, and detailed dimensional inspections.
Support New Product Development (NPD) activities through sample inspection, validation, and documentation.
3. Quality Analysis & CAPA
Analyze in‑process and line rejections to identify trends and defects.
Assist in root cause analysis (RCA) and ensure effective implementation of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
Track CAPA closure and monitor effectiveness.
4. Documentation & ERP Management
Maintain accurate inspection and test records in ERP system (IFS preferred).
Ensure all documents comply with QMS/ISO 9001:2015 requirements.
Prepare and update quality inspection reports, checklists, work instructions, and related documentation.
5. Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Work closely with sourcing and supplier quality teams to support supplier improvement initiatives.
Coordinate with production, engineering, and NPD teams to resolve quality issues and improve process capability.
6. Continuous Improvement & Compliance
Drive reduction in in‑process rejection rates by applying problem-solving and quality tools.
Ensure adherence to all safety, quality, and ISO standards during inspection activities.
Job Specifications:
Education—Diploma or Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Production Engineering.
Experience—Minimum 3 years of experience in quality inspection or quality engineering within a manufacturing environment.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Knowledge of PPAP, ISO documentation, and quality tools.
Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems (IFS preferred).
Ability to interpret technical drawings and use precision measuring instruments (Vernier, micrometer, height gauge, etc.).
