Role Purpose

The Category Sourcing Specialist – Metal will support strategic sourcing for assigned metal categories, manage regional and Group suppliers, and help deliver the right balance of quality, cost, delivery and risk. The role focuses on sourcing execution, supplier management, cross-country collaboration and measurable sourcing performance.

What You Will Do

In this role, you will contribute to category strategy, strategic sourcing, supplier management, stakeholder collaboration and supplier risk management for metal-related categories.

What We Are Looking For

• Minimum 5 years of sourcing experience in an international company, preferably with exposure to metals manufacturing, metal transformation, or metal supplier contracting in India.

• Strong understanding of supplier selection, supplier negotiations, contract principles, open costing and Total Cost of ownership.

• Experience with online tendering, e-sourcing, or e-procurement software.

• Good analytical capability with working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

• Experience in supplier performance follow-up, supplier auditing, and supplier risk management.

• Awareness of international and EU sustainability standards, ISO 9000 and Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety Management System principles.

• Experience working in international teams with good communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.

• English proficiency preferred at B2 level or above as per CEFR.

• Higher technical education, preferably Bachelor’s degree.

Ideal Candidate: A positive, analytical, and collaborative sourcing professional who can balance cost, quality, delivery, risk and stakeholder expectations while working in line with Ensto values.

• Develop and implement sourcing and category strategies mainly for India, aligned with Group objectives.

• Analyse supplier markets, value chains, spend, risks and opportunities to support Total Cost of Ownership improvement.

• Lead sourcing activities including supplier analysis, negotiations, agreements, contracts and implementation follow-up.

• Manage regional and Group suppliers across quality, delivery, cost, sustainability, contract compliance and risk performance.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, purchasers, business teams and R&D to optimise supplier base, cost structure and sourcing solutions.

• Identify cost reduction, supplier rationalisation and supply chain optimisation opportunities.

• Track category KPIs, supplier performance, budget and forecast inputs, and ensure timely reporting.

• Ensure availability of components under own management.
